For those of you who don't know, up until a few weeks ago nap time for Jude meant screaming until I walked around with him. Even when holding him and rocking him, he would cry and cry. If I laid him down asleep, he would wake up and scream. The only place he would sleep was on me. While this was wonderful and cozy, I needed a break too. But a miracle has occured...Jude now will happily go into his pack'n play and take, drum roll please, naps! They are short, but I'll take them.

Hurray!!! We're very excited for you and glad that you're getting a bit of a break! He has some great smiles too!
ReplyDeleteyes, take whatever you can get! my boys were always superstar sleepers, but i am sure that #3 is going to give me a run for my money. love the shot of his arm up over his head - so sweet!
ReplyDeleteWhat great grins!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that he's napping - make sure you take one yourself too!
ohh he is cozy!!! i always felt crazy that shadden never slept like i thought all babies slept. he loved to sleep on me and still does! he has never been a fan of the rocking chair so i did/do a labourous routine of walking and bouncing and squats! (he would stop crying after being bounced up and down on a large exercise ball or fall asleep walking-the ball was for me to get a break whoa hammies!). you're not alone! shadden has NEVER had long naps. it sounds like a dream when people tell me their babies will nap for a two-three hour stretch! i'm happy with 30min. twice a day. :) how is he doing at night?
