Jude's baptism was a wonderful event. Well...the first song had horns that blasted Jude awake and he screamed throughout the whole first part of the service until it was time for the "sprinkling" (which he screamed through). He was only quiet once I left the sanctuary and sat in the mother's room rocking him. I guess he felt I would be more comfortable in a rocking chair (I must admit, it was a wonderful way to enjoy the service). He must have wanted attention because there was a set of twins being baptized at the same time, screaming seemed like the most likely way to ensure that he would be remembered! Given Jude up until this point, I am not surprised he cried the whole time, it is how he spends much of his days...good thing he's adorable!
After the service it was really cool how many people came to shake hands, there was a really long line up. It makes you realize how many people are there to support you in the overwhelming task of raising this little person to live for the Lord.
Jack and Audrey opened up their home for us to have a luncheon in as we had about 40 people coming and that just doesn't fit in our tiny home. Again, so cool to see the support we have for Jude and the journey ahead. God is good!
